The furnace builder, using the flexibility of a monolithic installation, achieved the strict kiln geometry as illustrated in this example. The most intricate part is the inlet arch with the skewback transition to the intake chute. The mix runner profile is cut into the back wall to allow precise placement of the raw mixes. Several shock blowers have been installed inside the chute and in the inlet upper area, across the corner.

Due to the complex shape of the casing and to the angular arrangements around the shock blower nozzle, this type of lining can only be managed with the monolithic refractory material.
