The installation of a calciner in the cyclone heat exchanger enables preheating and calcination of the cement dust using different kinds of combustion material, thereby resulting in a reduction of the entire combustion process. In these areas, due to the high process temperature of about 1100°C, as well as chlorine-alkali circulation, the refractory material is exposed to severe thermal and chemical conditions.
