Chemically bonded products

Pligun AH 60 – a new generation of gunning mixes with good performances for example in sulphuric acid production units or incinerators. It is a andalusite based ultra-low-cement-castable (ULCC), chemically bonded.
Due to its specially designed deflocculation system it is characterised by a very low open porosity and high mechanical strength within a wide temperature range.

Plichem MC70 & Plichem BC85 – monolithic solutions for new installations and fast repairs. These are products with an excellent performance in the Aluminium Industry; easy to install with good sticking behaviours. Due to the rapid setting and no hydraulic bonding, a special pre-drying procedure is not required. The furnace is ready for immediately heat up.
Plichem products represent an excellent performance in molten aluminium contact zones - no metal infiltration is detected.

Materials for aluminium transportation

Plicast FM 40 AT – the newly developed monolithic solution for (street) transport units.
This is a chamotte-based product with semi-insulating characteristics and good mechanical values. This material is dedicated to the units, where heat loss is an important issue, like in the aluminium transfer ladles or runners. Due to its good thermal characteristics it enables the reduction of the insulating lining thickness.
Plicast FM 40 AT represents a good performance in impact zones and in contact with molten aluminium.

Plicast M-W-I 18 AT – the super insulating material dedicated to the working lining of the transport units. This product represents excellent insulating characteristics, which allow a significant reduction of heat losses within the (street) transportation period.
Plicast M-W-I 18 AT guarantees a good mechanical performance and an excellent molten aluminium resistance, combined with a good thermal shock resistance.

Products with high abrasion resistance

Plicast BM 80 – a bauxite based, monolithic product for those parts of units exposed to high abrasion and mechanical impact. This product is characterized by excellent mechanical values within a wide temperature range; dedicated to extremely strong abrasion and mechanical impact zones. Its maximum grain size – 3mm – allows the application in thin layers as ducts, pipes, damps or valves; addition of plasticizer (two components product) allows the installation in any design – even with difficult geometry.
Plicast BM 80 can be installed by kneading, patching or casting.

Products for Cement - new solution for alkalis & abrasion

SPRAYCAST A50 S5 - low cement castable with multipurpose applications. Easy to install, it can be applied through either the casting or wet gunning process. The product is characterized by its high mechanical strength and very low open porosity; the material also has low expansion properties during the installation period.
SPRAYCAST A50 S7 exhibits good thermal shock and excellent abrasion resistance characteristics - according to ASTM C-704 < 8cm³. Compared to traditional installation methods, SPRAYCAST guarantees a 5 -10 times faster installation.

Coating solution
PLISTIX Z 60 - is a ceramic protective coating that provides an enhanced resistance to any mechanical &/or chemical attack. The product is especially successful in improving the surface characteristics in contact with alkalis and to extend the service life of an existing lining. The final working lining needs to be covered by 1mm layer of the coating product. PLISTIX Z 60 can be installed by gunning or painting.

Products for Aluminium Industry

PLICAST BL 80 B3 - a newly developed, bauxite based, low cement castable that has been specially developed for the molten aluminium bath and contact zone.
PLICAST BL 80 B3 is one of the multifunctional-working products, which can be applied in most aluminium smelter conditions. Its anti-wetting characteristics, very low open porosity and specially designed microstructure, guarantees no internal or external corundum build-up, with no adverse chemical reaction.
Due to its strong physical characteristics, PLICAST BL 80 B3 can be also applied in zones with high abrasion and mechanical impact.

Light-weight materials

Extra light insulating product
PLICAST XL 25 - extra lightweight technology, which is available in casting or gunning grades and can be used to manufacture prefabricated shapes. It is very effective & flexible in terms of application; no complex drying out procedure is required, so reducing equipment downtime, which is a significant advantage.
It exhibits high mechanical strength & very low thermal conductivity compared to ceramic fibre and brick solutions.

High temperature insulating product
PLICAST L-W-I 28 R is the newest version of our super light materials with 85% alumina content, with service temperatures up to 1500C. The material displays high insulating properties within a wide range of temperature applications, as there are no significant changes in PLC values.
PLICAST L-W-I 28R is recommended for installation when application volumes are strictly limited or overheating of the working unit can be expected.
