Refractoriness under load (differential)

To characterize the behaviour of a refractory material in high temperature environment and under pressure (acc. to Deutsche Gesellschaft Feuerfest- und Schorsteinbau e.V. 'Refractory Engineering').

Typical RUL deformation curve for refractory products ( 0.1 N/mm² load ) is presented.

RUL (differential) - is distinguished by a softening point T0.5, which is 0.5% compression amount from the point of the highest expansion E max of the specimen. We can determine T1.0, T2 & T5, which are adequate to the percentage of the product deformation.
